Flashing Stock ROM with SP Tools in case of a Brick/Bootloopon your XOLO MTK

Requirements:-

-SP TOOLS v5.1352.01 (DOWNLOAD HERE)

-STOCK ROM ForYour Device (DOWNLOAD HERE)

-MTK USB Drivers (HERE)

-A PC with Windows 7 or Later

-The Bricked Mediatek Device with a USB Cable

-Patience

Instructions:

-Download and Extract the Stock ROM you Downloaded Above(make sure it’s for your device Exactly)

Download and Install the MTK USB Drivers from Above

On some PCs it might not install easily So, here’s the workaround 

• 1st Extract the Driver Zip
• On your PC right click on Computer > Properties and on the left side click on device manager

• Switch off your phone and connect it to your PC, In Device Manager You’ll find MT65xx Preloader

• Right Click on it and select Update Driver Software… Select Browse my computer for driver software  
• Now Click on Browse button and browse to the Directory where you extracted the Driver Zip and make sure that Include Subfolders is checked 

• On Pressing OK it should Install Drivers and on Completion it should show this

-Now Flashing the ROM 

•  Extract the SP TOOLs zip and Run Flash_tool.exe from it

• In the SP TOOLs Window Select Scatter Loading and Select MT65xx_Android_scatter.txt Found in the Stock ROM folder you Just Extracted

 

• Now Make sure that Each and every box is checked and respective image is loaded 

• Now Press On Download button with the green arrow on top and connect your phone in switched off state  
• The Process will start and you’ll find the statusbar at the bottom changing colors RED to Yellow 
• When Done You’ll find a Download OK box popping up

• Now Disconnect your Phone and Power it Up!!!!

Open framaroot app choose super su, install supersu you will get rooted in just one click.

The next step is to install a custom recovery like CWM, TWRP etc. I suggest to use touch based TWRP recovery as it is easy to use.

How to Install custom recovery on Xolo
It is easy and convenient to use mobile apps to do all these things without Pc
Using apps like Goo manager, Mobile uncle tools etc allows you to insall custom recovery like Twrp with just few taps.

1. Download recovery image or zip file to install
2.Place it on root of directory of sd card
3.Open Mobile uncle tools and choose update recovery and choose the saved file in sd card.
4.Confirm cation and rebot to recovery.
5.You will see twrp screen on reboot if successful.

How to flash rom
1.Download any custom rom zip file
2.Reboot ro recovery(twrp)
3.First backup your stock rom by choosing backup and swipe to perform backup action. (you can always restore backup anytime if anything goes wrong.)
4.Clear cache and dalv cache factory reset Format system.
5.Choose flash rom and select saved custom rom.zip and swipe to flash when you see success dialouge choose reboot system and wait for some time. New rom will boot.
